Airsoft is a simple sport/hobby very similar to paintball. It centers around realistic weapons that shoot 6mm plastic bb's and paintballs. There are 3 basic types of guns: Gas (Blowback & Non-Blowback), Electric (mostly refered to as AEG's), and Spring. I've had my experience with all 3 and I have determined that Gas Blowback is where it's at. AEG's, especially high-end rifles can be a lot of fun and are worthy of collecting. Spring powered guns are for the most part crap unless you're dealing with a high-end sniper rifle. |
